The Sixth Grade classes at Shaw
Avenue School, recently had the opportunity to participate in the
Resident Program at Caumsett State Park in Lloyds Neck Harbor. The
program involves an overnight stay and gives the students two full
days to explore forests, ponds, a seashore, fields, and a salt
marsh. Under the guidance of professional naturalists and with the
supervision of their teachers, the students get a hands-on
experience examining plants, observing wildlife, and exploring
nature. A great time was had by all!!! |
